Careers Lift ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
When you use the extension to generate a tailored resume, the job description and resume text you provide are sent to our secure backend server and then to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. We store the generated output and a short snippet of the job description for your history. We do not store your original raw resume text after processing is complete.
We track how many resumes you have generated per month for the purpose of enforcing usage limits. We do not track browsing history, page visits, or any activity outside of your direct interactions with the Careers Lift extension.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Anthropic (Claude AI): Your resume content and job description are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data. We recommend reviewing Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare: Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers and our database on Turso. Standard network logs may be retained by these providers per their own policies.
Your account and resume history are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@careerslift.com.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations. API keys are stored as encrypted secrets and are never exposed to the browser or extension.

The extension does NOT read page content, access browsing history, inject scripts into web pages, or automate any actions.
